The worst reasons to get married
In most Indian languages, a word for bachelor or bachelorette does not exist. The terms “kunwaara” and “kunwaari”, commonly used to refer to unmarried people in Hindi, means one who is celibate, rather than unmarried.
Given the fact that there is no word to describe bachelors or bachelorettes, what do you think it indicates about the attitude of the general populace towards marriage? But if you think you will find your soul mate by buckling down to societal pressure, then you will probably be disillusioned. Besides, you will be ruining two lives – yours and that of the person you marry.
